Services.

We strive to fulfill a range of patient needs in addition to providing community members with free, quality medical care and prescription medications.

Medical Services

All patients are welcome to be seen by our care teams free of charge. We perform physical exams, sick visits, as well as follow up visits for management of chronic diagnoses.

Some of the services we offer include:
Blood pressure screenings
Lipid testing
Pregnancy tests
Glucose, HbA1C, and ketone testing
Vaccinations
Wound care

We can also provide referrals and resources for any wellness needs not covered by our office.

Medications

We have a range of both over the counter and prescription medications that are provided to patients completely free of charge after consultation with the physician.

Other Services

We provide patients with care kits, clothing items, and sanitary products.

We provide in-office STI testing in partnership with Corktown Health starting June 2025 on select dates.

Our Partnerships

Currently, Cass-Costea Clinic partners with a number of other organizations run by Wayne State University School of Medicine students to better serve our patients needs. These include...
  • Sight Savers - a medical student run ophthalmology group that provides free eye exams
  • Fresh Prescription - a program whose mission is to provide free fruits, vegetables, and nutritional education as a primary means of medical treatment to individuals with chronic disease in the Detroit area
  • Lions Hearing Club - a medical student-run audiology group that provides free hearing exams
  • Common Threads - a medical student knitting/crochet group working with us to distribute recycled plastic mats to unhoused patients
  • Corktown Health - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Detroit providing point of care STI testing and counseling in clinic, as well as follow up treatment in their medical office

How we operate

Patients who are interested in receiving care can come to our clinic any Saturday between 9-11:30 AM. We do not take appointments-- walk-in basis only.

Patients are first seen by our medical student teams, who assess the patient's needs and conduct any indicated exams or testing. The team then consults with the attending physician before providing any indicated medications, testing, or patient education.
